Subtracting Integers

Subtracting integers can be really easy ... especially if you follow this rule:

Write the problem as a sum by changing the second integer to its opposite.

Ex. -6 - (-2) = -6 + 2 = -4

or

-6 - 2 = -6 + -2 = -8

Remember a double negative creates a positive.
